Birthdays have always been an occasion in the Hay household ... .. .

But there is one birthday that stands alone in power, in grace, in stunning refinement ... Becca's.

Her day is one of pure celebration with the first note of that dear old tune "Happy Birthday" beginning well before the sun on the 14th and ending with the moon on the sad night of that day when for a year we must say goodbye and wait 'til it comes again.

Is there a word strong enough to convey the love, adoration, and profound respect Becca has for this place? Is it holy, you may ask. Oh yes. A hushed reverence falls upon those who step onto the pure concrete floor. Those who handle the rough - yet lushish - napkins. Those who dare to read - I Didn't Claw My Way to The Top Of the Food Chain to Eat Vegetables.

And so many a year on the sacred occasion of February 14th, a journey - a Pilgrimage if you will - was taken to Rudy's.

February 14th can mean only one thing...

Becca's Birthday! Happy Birthday Becca! I'll let her post to tell all about how wonderful her day was. Jared and I made her some chocolate chip cup cakes (CCCCs). It's a yellow cupcake with a cookie hidden inside and one on top with cream cheese frosting. I really appreciate Becca letting me experimentally cook for her, because I was kinda making it all up as I went! Becca had so many people hanging out at her apartment when we showed up. I think it's just another piece of evidence of how many people love Becca. When you become Becca's friend, she's there for you FOREVER. She always has such a good perspective on things and is such a good listener and friend. If you want to have a fun time, you call up Becca!

Snowmen Beware...

And yes -- that was done at 11 PM! Crazy person -- I was wondering why we got that letter from the home owner's association ... No better time to move I suppose... :P

Everyone has their own love language and everyone expresses their love differently. (It's a baguette of bread.)

Dear John...

So Becca and I this weekend had yet another girls nights (you really can't have enough of them!) and saw the movie Dear John. OH MY GOSH! You must see it! If you loved A Walk to Remember or the Notebook, you will die with Dear John. Plus the fact that Channing Tatum is the main character makes the movie like 20 times better. Anyways. You must see it. See it, love it, and cry with everyone else in the theatre
